HMS King George V (KGV), was one of 5 KGV class battleships built for the RN, commissioned in 1940. She was obviously extremely busy during WW2 earning the battle honours

Atlantic & Bismarck in 1941, Artic & Sicily in 1942/3 & Okinawa & Japan in 1945 to add to the inherited honour of Jutland.

She was most remembered for finishing off the stricken Bismarck, firing her 14” guns constantly for a full 30 minutes, pummelling the Pride of the German fleet along with the ships HMS Rodney, Dorsetshire & Norfolk.

This exact replica hand built model is in fine fettle with the odd minor imperfection. It measures just short of 4ft long and has a plethora of motors and other electrical ancillaries within the hull. The superstructure is removable and held down by ingenious capstan screws, the main turrets rotate and there’s several naval ratings dotted around the upper deck manning guns etc.

It comes on a purpose built wooden stand adorned with the ships badge and brass name cartouche. I also have in my possession a receiver control unit with battery’s which not only ran this model, but another that I have in my possession “HMS Rodney” which will be sold separately. But the control does have instructions for both models, so it will be included, along with a copy of the instructions with the purchase of the 1st model.
