Extremely Rare WW1 Royal Navy HMS Mary Rose Solid Bronze Gun Tampion (with provenance)

Mary Rose was an M-Class Destroyer of the RN, commissioned in 1915. Unfortunately she was sunk (scuttled), along with her sister ship HMS Strongbow in October of 1917 after receiving devastating direct hits from two German Cruisers, SMS Brummer & Bremse, whilst trying to protect a convoy of 12 merchant ships. The German cruisers went on to sink 9 of the 12 merchant ships and only a handful of the Mary Rose crew survived, landing in Norway via a merchant ship lifeboat after finding them clinging to a raft.
The wreck, which lies 70 miles off Lerwick, is designated as a protected place under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986
The 6” tampion is the only one know to exist from this plucky destroyer and was reputedly given to the Marlborough shortly before her demise and comes from a famous Royal Naval collection with provenance.
This really is a great opportunity to own a piece of real naval history with a name that is synonymous with the Royal Navy!
