Fabulous Vintage Mahogany Cased Ships Bulkhead Clock by Olsen’s of Grimsby
O.T Olsen’s were compass adjusters, nautical instrument makers, flag maker’s & fishermans almanac publishers based at Fish Docks Road, Grimsby.
The 6” Sestral bulkhead clock is in good working condition and well presented in a sublime solid mahogany case that has a 10” diameter. The clock face with Roman numerals is in fine fettle and has the makers and sellers name above & below the winding hole, it
has a subsidiary dial for the seconds hand and the 8 day mechanism ticks along nicely, keeping good time. The brass framed door is fitted with thick bevelled glass which is chip free and it has a sprung catch to keep the door locked when closed.
