Gillespie (1908-1993) is a well known Scottish watercolour artist. His early career involved film making but decided to focus on watercolour landscape paintings after the war. From the late 1940's till his death he concentrated
his career as a professional artist and is well known for his scenes of the West Coast of Scotland. This particular one I believe to be a winter scene of Ben More from Loch Tuath?
